Daphne Guinness' effortless style

This past weekend spent three very sunny days on the search for fashion-loving girls attending at London's Southbank (it’s the same event set up by fashion designer  that debuted at  last year but now in central London!). It'd be rude not to do a spot of shopping, get stuck into a tea dance or two and make the most of the free , but, Style Hunter was there for a purpose – and that was to snap as many stylish ladies in their most treasured of outfits. So, where fashion week is a pedestrianized catwalk for all that’s new and hip, you’ll find that Vintage festival attracts the die-hard retro crowd whose outfits all tell a tale - and not necessarily a trend. We photographed 79 (yes, 79!) ladies but we’ve whittled them down to our top 10…

Stylist and fashion writer 31, found her amazing ‘50s frock on  Her petticoat and string of pearls really make this oh-so-retro.  eat yer heart out.
Stepping back in time to the seventies is , 29, with her fantastic flares and matching crop top from her own Vintage stal. And that fringed waistcoat is soo, non?
30, is rocking the most gorgeous colour palette – her green handmade vintage jacket looks dreamy with floral palazzo pants from. Gorgeous!
34, has lopped off the hem of skirt of the moment. She’s given it a spin with a floral cardigan, patent sandals and a second hand bag. And, clever girl, she’s accessorized with a copy of Grazia!
The rose print on 25 year old ’s fantastic frock is to die for! We like how she’s kept it really simple with black pumps, a ladylike handbag and a glint of gold from her statement earrings.
The pretty print of  jumpsuit looks even more exciting when teamed with the fascinator she bought in Spitalfields, starry earrings from  and mini -body bag.
looked so chic dressed up in this sailor-girl outfit. The elegant neckline of her vintage top and flattering cut of her ‘40s style pants recall the old-fashioned Hollywood glamour of ..
, 24, wowed us at last year’s  in a very get-up, but we like her ‘70s hippy look this year even more. Her bag was made by her uncle back in ’72. What an heirloom piece!
How could you not fall in love with cute  23? He polka dot dress is right on the fashion money but a headscarf, frilly socks and satchel bag make it a geek-chic treat.
You know we love a good maxi dress.  29, opts for summer black in this vintage dress and  hat. Her yellow cocktail ring and red locks brighten the look up no end..
  • Zoe - Love the gorgeous floral print and the full skirt is so flattering! Perfectly accessorised with the dark tan clutch and shoes!
Helen - Resisting the urge to say 'Groovy baby' but she looks so seventies and I love it! Especially loving those sunnies!
Tiffany - Gorgeous colour palette and I love how she has balanced out the wide leg of her palazzos by nipping in her waist!
Ella - Possibly my fave of the bunch! I love the bright colours, and that satchel is so cute!
Sophie - I love how she has taken this dress and made it really elegant looking by teaming it with the structured bag and classic black pumps. The earrings add a nice quirky touch.
Melissa - On paper, you'd think this outfit would be totally wrong, but Melissa's confidence just oozes from her - I love the eccentric little details, like those starry earrings and the fascinator. It shouldn't work but it so does!
DJ Lady Kamikaze - Working the nautical trend to perfection! Especially loving the big red flower in her hair!
Georgina Kate-Adams - This is evidence that you only need one statement piece - the kaftan - and with a few brilliantly picked accessories you're good to go!
Kathy - Adore the little details (and her crazy excitement!) - the bow headband, her ruffled socks, brogues and satchel add a preppy edge to her polka dot dress. Back to school chic!
Natalie - The sheer material of the maxi ensures that Natalie doesn't look drowned amongst her dress, and the yellow from her ring adds a nice pop of colour to her outfit. Totally in love with her hair as well!
LOVED all these outfits. I think Kathy and Melissa are my faves!
