Abhishek Bachchan was born on 5 February 1976 in Mumbai to India’s ace actor Amitabh Bachchan and his star wife Jaya Bachchan. In 2006, Abhishek was named the sexiest man in Asia by UK magazine Eastern Eye. Abhishek Bachchan has starred in more than 40 films.
Before starting her acting career, Aishwarya Rai worked as a model and won international acclaim after winning the Miss World title in 1994. The gorgeous Aishwarya Rai soon became one of Bollywood's much sought-after actress. During her film career, Aishwarya has acted in over forty movies in many languages including Hindi, English, Tamil and Bengali. Aishwarya Rai, has earned huge praises from Julia Roberts and Oprah Winfrey as the most beautiful woman on Earth.
Before they became man and wife on 20 April 2007, Aishwarya and Abhishek were the lead pair in a few films. Some years later, the co-stars were together at New York for the premiere of Guru, a film they worked on together, when Abhishek proposed.

"After the premiere, we were back in the hotel," he says. " I took her to the balcony, and asked her to marry me." After the engagement, Aishwarya and Abhishek wedding became one of the most celebrated events in India.
The image conscious couple for the first time came out publicly about their fairytale love on Oprah’s show. Not only did Abhishek candidly reveal how he proposed marriage to Aishwarya but also planted a kiss on his wife’s cheek when Oprah asked them if they have ever kissed on camera.
Abhishek and Aishwarya continue to lead their glamorous lifestyles - but in complete harmony. As a matter of fact since their marriage, their film careers have only further flourished. Eager fans of the dream couple want them to settle down and bring into the world generation-next Bachchan juniors.

News Update: The happy couple is blessed with a cute baby girl this morning around 10.00 AM (16 November 2011) at Seven Hills Hospital, Mumbai. Abhishek must be very happy as he always wanted a daughter who looked like Aishwarya!. The baby is the third grandchild of Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, after Agastya and Navya Naveli - Shweta and Nikhil Nanda's children.
