The reality star turned designer is adapting some of her best styles from her Winter Kate collection for a range for QVC called The Nicole Richie Collection. Nicole says she designed the collection so that you could “walk into your closet with your eyes closed and pick something special.”
Not sure what she means, I think she’s trying to say, if you filled your closet entirely with clothing from the Nicole Richie Collection then no matter what you choose it will be a great piece. I think?
Her collection will range in price from $75-$257 and includes maxidresses, printed kimono jackets, and leather bags which will launch on February 24, 2012 with more items reportedly being rolled out later.
The collection has a version of Nicole’s infamous maxi dress and she says, “it was important for me to do a version for QVC because it can be worn so many ways. I paid close attention to the seams to give a woman a nice shape, because a lot of maxidresses can feel tent-y.” Nicole wants to emphasize to her fans that she is just like them, except for she’s married to a rock star and her dad is famous and she makes more money than we can even count and…
“I want to connect with the women watching by letting them know that we are similar in many ways; I’m a mother of two and I work,” says Richie “We all want to feel relaxed on the inside but stylish on the outside, and that’s what I’m trying to provide.”
