The British Consulate-General's Cultural and Education department has supported a School Links programd in China since 2001. This program, based on the bilateral Framework Agreement on Education Co-operation between the UK and China, was signed in 2000 by David Blunkett, then UK Secretary of State for Education, and Madame Chen Zhili, then Chinese Minister of Education. The British Counsulate-General's program helps to develop leadership skills for both Chinese and British students through sports and language exchanges. | ||
